Donald Trump feared and hated on a global scale

I was surprised on a recent visit to South America at the level of fear of Donald Trump possibly becoming President of the United States.  100% of those I spoke to thinks Donald Trump is a loose cannon and feared for the future of the world should he be elected, The mere mention of his name brought fear and  disgust from those I spoke to and as much as the press is suggesting that Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump are in a tied race, those I spoke to do not believe that he could ever win the White House.

Without a doubt, Hilary Clinton is the hands on favorite to win the White House among those I spoke to which got me thinking - has there ever been a more despised candidate for the White House? The fact that people are weighing in with negative thoughts about Donald Trump from around the world leads one to question whether Donald Trump could actually win with such bad vibes surrounding his presidential bid. Of course the world won't be voting on election day but there will be global prayers with the hope of influencing the presidential outcome in Hilary Clinton's favor.

A cranky old man, a crude bigoted billionaire, a smart woman, who will Americans choose?

Americans are currently making choices  from among a cranky old man, a crude bigoted billionaire, a smart  woman;who will Americans choose?

Historically, a woman has never been America's choice for president. I remember when Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton were battling it out for the democratic nomination, I felt sure that given the choice, between a black relatively inexperienced  man and a white woman with the impressive credentials Hilary Clinton had, that for sure she would win. I was sadly mistaken and came to the conclusion that perhaps Americans are not comfortable with a woman as president regardless of ethnic background.

I look at the choices that are left and wonder who will Americans choose for President. Would they choose the bombastic billionaire Donald Trump with more skeletons in his closet than a cemetery? What about Bernie Sanders? He has a huge support among young people including women even though he often comes across like a cranky old man with Utopian socialist ideals. Remind me, are there any socialist governments left in the world? But these two men, Trump and Sanders,  seem to be quite popular and have the ability to seriously impede the lone woman's chance for the White House.

When the dust settles, who will Americans prefer to see take the office of President? Is the thought of a woman in the highest office in America so incomprehensible? Will the glass ceiling continue to be a mirage?

Donald Trump's Dream Running Mate Oprah Winfrey

Was Donald Trump serious when he said he wanted Oprah Winfrey as a running mate? If he was and he asks her, would she accept?

When Donald Trump announced his bid for the Presidency in 2015, he told ABC's George Stephanopoulos that he knows Oprah and wants her as his running make. Both celebrities, they do have a lot in common. Since Oprah campaigned with Barack Obama It is hard to picture her as a Republican running mate. However, since Donald Trump is not seen as a "true" Republican, the two may well be a match made in heaven. And while Oprah Winfrey may not be of the same political persuasion as Donald Trump, the smell of power can be a stronger lure than money. When you have more money than you can spend, power - like the presidency or the vice presidency sure sounds good. Read More
